CERTIFICATES

The stoves are certified and their certificate is valid throughout the European Union. In addition to the certificate, you will also receive the necessary labels for the chimney approval.

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

These stoves have a classic design and can last between 8 and 200 years under operational conditions (like the stoves in Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna). The lifespan is determined by the relationship between the stove's heat output and the volume of space to be heated, the degree of insulation of the heated space, and the proper construction of the chimney. Poor correlation can lead to overheating of the stove and implicitly to its damage.

If you notice that the stove is overheating, immediately contact the manufacturer to inform you what to do. Repeated overheating of the stove can lead to its destruction, and measures can be taken with the manufacturer to prevent this:
- Replacement of the stove with one of higher heating performance
- Other measures;

For these reasons, this brochure clarifies several aspects concerning the installation, connection to the chimney, and operation of the stove.

We would like to inform you that this product is assembled and installed using the latest technologies in the field. The materials used are certified and guaranteed by CE manufacturers. The pre-assembled terracotta stoves have been tested in a factory test lab and other authorized laboratories. The connection to the chimney is very important, as the stove must have adequate draft. Another common issue is the lack of oxygen in insulated rooms with a thermopanel system without a ventilation system. We must consider the fact that fire is a great consumer of oxygen. Chimney cleaning must be regularly carried out by specialized companies.

I. INSTALLATION OF THE STOVE

Place the stove in its intended location in a secure, stable, and level position. Standard room chimneys with flues of an internal diameter of 120 - 150 mm are used. During the installation of the stove, it is essential to ensure the watertightness of the flues to prevent reduced draft and the possibility of burnt gases entering the room. At the connection points, the upper flue must be secured over the connecting pin or lower flue.
The following regulations must be observed for connecting the stove to the chimney:
-The connection is only to be made to a masonry chimney with a flue corresponding to the connection pin.
-The height of the masonry chimney should be at least 6 meters.
-The length of the connecting pipes should be 1.5 - 2 meters.
-Horizontally installed flues should have an upward slope of at least 10 - 15 degrees towards the chimney.
-Ensure that any object around the stove is placed at least 50 cm from the side of the stove with the firebox and at least 30 cm from the other sides of the stove.

II. OPERATION MODE (USAGE)

When using the stove for the first time, start with a light fire to properly dry the chamotte lining and prevent its damage. Follow these steps:
-Open the firebox door;
-Place approximately 0.2 kg of wood shavings and about 0.5 kg of wood into the stove;
-Open the vent located next to the oven on the opposite side of the firebox by pulling the rod to ensure direct draft. Set the air regulator to the fully open position;
-Light the fire and close all the doors on the stove;
-Once the fire is well established, close the start damper, and the hot gases will circulate around the oven.

From this point on, the stove is fueled according to the desired mode of use. Since the stove is equipped with a grill, ash must be removed before each use. The cooking plate with two cooking rings is used for cooking.
Place the cookware on the cast iron rings while cooking. Cover or uncover with a lid depending on the intensity of the fire and the desired cooking speed. On the surfaces of the stove near the cast iron rings, a high temperature can be maintained (above the fire) or a relatively high temperature of the cookware. The boiling or heating time depends on the material and thickness of the walls of the cookware. Use the oven with the stove for baking and roasting. It is equipped with two side guides allowing the insertion of a baking sheet with dishes at different levels of the oven according to the type of dish. To bake dishes, place them in the already hot oven. Store the wood used in places protected from rain, wind, sun, snow, frost, excessive heat, etc., in enclosed spaces or cellars where the impact of the aforementioned atmospheric factors cannot negatively affect the good preservation of the wood. Bring to the place of use the amount of wood needed for one day's consumption.

III. MAINTENANCE OF THE STOVE

The ash pan should be emptied once a day, and before each emptying, clean the stove grate. The flues and gas circulation channels are to be cleaned regularly, during which time inspection and repair of the chamotte lining are carried out if necessary. The stove frame is cleaned by sanding, and the stove plate is cleaned with stove polishing powder. The enamel and chrome parts are washed with a wet cloth and then wiped with a dry cloth. Avoid scratching and scouring the ceramic and chrome parts, and do not clean them with items that could damage the protective layer.

IV. IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER

If several heating or cooking devices are connected to the same chimney, they must be connected at a distance of at least 0.5 meters from each other. It is strictly forbidden to leave the house with a fire burning or to sleep while there is still wood burning in the stove. Failure to comply with the above instructions absolves the manufacturer of any responsibility in case of accidents. By following these instructions, you will ensure the flawless, long, and economical operation of the stove. To prevent damage to the stove due to improper use, the regulations regarding the rational use of the stove must be respected. Terracotta stoves should be cleaned on the surface, and after cleaning, the joints should be sealed with putty using a brush.

The use of stoves clogged with soot is prohibited. Due to clogging, the stove emits smoke. Also, the reduction in draft makes it impossible to fully burn the wood, leading to decreased stove efficiency. At the same time, the efficiency of the stove is reduced because the soot, with its reduced thermal conductivity, prevents heat accumulation in the stove walls. Additionally, soot buildup can cause fires.

V. SAFETY MEASURES AND FIRE PREVENTION

-Forced (chemical) ignition of wood is prohibited as it leads to a significant expansion of hot gases, which can cause the stove to explode.
-It is forbidden to start a fire with gasoline.
-Soot buildup in the stove promotes the occurrence of fires; therefore, soot accumulation should be minimized as much as possible.
-It is forbidden to store flammable materials (gasoline, kerosene, sawdust, bottles, etc.) near the stove.
-Flammable materials must be stored at least 400 mm away from the back and sides of the stove and at least 800 mm from the front of the stove.
-The user manual must be followed, and all responsibility lies with the user.
-The fireplace door must always be closed, as sparks can fly out when opened.
-Do not leave children unattended while the fire is burning.
-While the stove is in operation, handle the air regulator rod, door handle, and ash pan only with gloves suitable for handling hot objects.
-Do not use fuels not recommended, including liquid fuels.
-Do not place objects made of flammable materials or objects that may melt when heated on the stove.
-Do not use flammable liquids to ignite the fire.
-Do not touch the outer surfaces of the stove during operation.
-Do not place large amounts of flammable material (more than recommended) into the firebox to avoid damaging the stove's firebox.

VI. ENVIRONMENTAL CARE

RECOMMENDATIONS:
1.Old stoves should be handed over to specialized recycling facilities to protect the environment and recycle important raw materials.
1.To keep gas emissions from combustion within the limits allowed by national and European regulations, only fuels recommended by the manufacturer should be used.
2.Storage of used fuels should be carried out according to the instructions in this manual.
3.The fuels used must be very well dried.
4.The fire in the stove should not burn in a smoldering manner.
5.Do not overheat the stove and never load it with too much fuel.
6.Do not use the stove to dispose of waste, as it is not allowed to use fuels with too much dust or fuels impregnated with toxic substances.
7.The use of flammable waste is prohibited.
8.The doors should remain closed during use.

VII. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

-Before commissioning, it is necessary to check the good condition of the flue and chimney.
-When adjusting the terracotta stove with the placement of the flue, fire safety regulations are decisive.
-Terracotta stoves cannot be fueled with coke, as the chamotte and cast iron parts wear out too quickly.
-The room where the stove is located must have good ventilation (be mindful of double-glazed windows and doors).

HOW MANY kW DO YOU NEED?

We must also consider fuel consumption. One kg of wood can produce approximately 4 kW of output per hour at 100% efficiency. The efficiency of terracotta stoves is approximately 80%. This means that 1 kg of wood produces 3.2 kW per hour. At an output of 10 kW, this results in a fuel consumption of 3.13 kg per hour.
*There is, of course, a difference between softwood and hardwood. These calculations are based on averages.
